I just wrote that title thinking about the two adventured that I was going to introduce, but really, the new adventures are embarking on parenthood and exploring what that’s like! I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a handful of births in the past couple of months – three boys and one girl – all off on their own adventures.
But I do want to talk about two new events I’m a part of and how important I think they are. The first is a Birth Choices talk where we will talk about … birth choices! This is everything from what your options are on where to birth, who you should consider for your birth team, to classes to prepare you for labor and after the baby comes. You won’t believe how many choices you have! Here’s an example of an important question that I get asked all the time – what’s the difference between a doula and a midwife? Don’t know the answer? Come to this talk!
The next thing is I’m facilitating a Parent Support Group open to parents and caregivers of young children. This is a drop-in group open to all where we’ll open a space for respectful conversation about a variety of topics and view points. Best of all we’re going to make this a regular thing, happening every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 11:30am-12:30pm. (A non-facilitated drop-in parent support group meets on the other Thursdays from 11am-1pm so you can come when you can.)
And best of all, these two events are FREE!
