(I love this little icon. How much more local, homemade, diy can you get than breastmilk?!) I’m teaching a Breastfeeding Class this Tuesday evening! My goal for this class is to prepare you for the common things you might experience when breastfeeding. We talk about easy breastfeeding positions, signs of trouble and what to do, how your breasts will change, how to support your milk supply and more. This class is best taken while you are pregnant so have the bandwidth to hear the information and can get prepared before you begin breastfeeding.
Things I’ve done: I have breastfed all three of my kids (still going for the little guy!). We have used formula. We have bottle fed, and then used a sippy cup when the bottle was rejected. I have pumped, and pumped, and pumped. My daughter calls it the “Let it Go” machine. I have had mastitis. I have been worried about low supply. I have seen a lactation consultant. I have cried over spilt (breast)milk (4oz gone!). I know there is more than one way to feed a baby. I know breastfeeding can be amazing and wonderful and so difficult. I know it helped me to be prepared and have support.
